A tribute to the King of Pop-Michael Jackson

Born: 29 August 1958
Deceased: 25 June 2009.

Before reading this post, all fans of this King of Pop, please put a silent mourn for 1 minute.

Frankly speaking, I am not such a fan of his. Seriously.

Why?

Easy. After the surgeries he undergo, he looks un-human. Don't you think so? It is sooooooooooo creepy.

But, after really reading wikipedia about him, he actually has skin problems. And that's why he go for those surgeries that makes him look so scary according my point of view.

Plus, all the charges of molestation of children worsens his reputation.

But there is one thing that we cannot deny. His music. His music is his legacy. And he had successfully made influence to people through his songs. Just by counting his fans, you can know how great is his influence. His music is full of energy, so much that makes listeners move. Yet, there are some songs of him cannot be sung by anyone else.

And almost forgot. His moonwalk. Everyone can imitate him, but no one can be able to compare their moves to this creator.

Most of us likes, or even loves his songs. So, should we keep in mind that he molested children before? Or, should we leave a good impression of him?

No matter how is it, we wish him rest in peace. To conclude this post, I will attach a verse from the Bible (don't know is it very appropriate) and my prayer (which is not so professional) to him.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall
dewell in the house of the lord forever."-Psalm 23:6

And my own written prayer:

"Our Lord in Heaven, please bless the soul of our dearly pal here, Michael Joseph Jackson, may he rest in peace. Though he is a very dangerous man...

Though he can't differentiate between good and evil, black and white...

But he tried his best to heal the world...

With what he have. Oh, my Father in Heaven, please forgive all his sins, forgive all his wrongdoings, and bless his soul, as You, my Lord, love us equally. Amen."

Dum Spiro Spero-While I breathe, I Hope

This phrase is used by various places and families as a motto.

But, what inspired me to say about this phrase?

Easy. Just read Hui Xin's blog.

OK. Maybe not just that.

Yes, this week is one of my 'emo'-est week in my life.

(Use the tune of "Deck The Hall")
Tis' the week of revelation, fa la la la la, la la la la
All those effort has it paid for? Fa la la la la, la la la la
Should we be sad, or be gloomy? Fa la la, la la la, la la la
Now we shall know our results, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Exam results, is what students are frowning about. I am not spared. Therefore, I am being very emotional this week upon this issue.

I admit, that there is some consideration of mine is to commit suicide. But, when you just want to stab that knife to your chest, you just cannot do it. (Maybe I have to replace the term 'you' to 'I')

But, all bygones, be bygones. Since we had finished this examinations, we had to accept reality. All is to blame not much effort or input for examinations.

But, as long as we still have breath, we still can hope. I am not just referring to examinations, but all things like worldwide peace.

(Quite contradicting, because I am seen as a person who don't believe much in hope...)

Turning...turning...turning to 15......

Today, I am one day older. One year older.

Today, I am one day nearer to dying. One year nearer to death.

Days passed by as time flies like arrows.

Meanwhile...here's a joke.

Time flies like an arrow. What flies like a banana?

Cannot guess?

Fruitflies like a banana. Cold, isn't it?

Well, turning...turning...turning to 15......

At the end of the day, it's another ordinary day, full with struggle and war...

An excursion down south

On Sunday, I went back to my mother's hometown a.k.a. my aunt's house.

My cousin and his wife gave birth to a girl on Friday,

We started our journey to Muar at around 10.50 a.m.

12.00 p.m., we stopped at Ayer Keroh R&R (southbound) for lunch.

We continued our journey at around 1 something.

However, we didn't straight away go to visit my cousin.

Instead, we go to the 'mystical' mountain of Tangkak-Gunung Ledang. And yes, I did climb but untill before the restricted area, which is just a trail to the peak instead stairs.

At the fenced point, it is 900 feet (274 m).

I didn't go for a swim in the waterfalls. Yes, it is magnificent, but I didn't expect to go for a detour to Mount Ophir.

It was somewhere 3 something when we got down. Then we head to Bandar Maharani, which is the town centre of Muar. We had tea in a shop, well actually we bought food from the stalls outside the coffee shop and just buy drinks from the shop. Some local delicacies-otak-otak and their Char Kuey Teow with "Teh Si Min Tim" as our tea. The otak-otak is nice, but the tea is unacceptable, my father complained.

Then, we head to my Aunt's house, in Bentayan. I didn't expect my cousin's wife can be released so early. So, I'm a little shocked to see they are there. We spend 2-3 hours there.

Night falls as we head to the hawker centre in the area, where we explore more local dishes. The centre of attraction came a little late as there are many customers had ordered earlier than us, and we had finished our 'main course'-yam rice, before it came. What do I mean? It is the unmistakably Fried Oyster with Egg.

It is 8 something and we head to my Grandmother's house for accommodation. On the way back, we got mesmerised with the signboard showing "1kg 50 cents". It is the season of harvest. Fruit harvest. And the signboard showing durian sold at 50 cents per kg.

A bargain, isn't it? Well, we are fooled. There is no such thing as 50 cents per kg. The cheapest is RM1 per kg. And that type of durians are poor in quality. Anyway, we bought some mangosteens and durians, eventually.

It is 9 something we arrived my grandmother's house. We ate the durians we just bought as it is opened and repacked. But there are some we put in grandmother's fridge.

Little bit later, we all went to bed. It is not so suitable to stay up so late in a village.

Next day morning, we had the breakfast that prepared by grandmother. Then, we packed up our things and leave the house at around 10. We stopped by at aunt's house to give some things that grandmother wants to give to my aunt.

Then, we went to Melaka instead going back home straight away. My mother wants to eat chicken rice balls, but my father brought us to a restaurant to eat mixed rice. Later, my mother wanted to go to Jonker Walk. But neither of us knows the directions. So I asked the owner of the restaurant about the directions. She said that Jonker Walk is within walking distance.

But, do you want to walk under the 1 p.m. sun? Eventually, my father brought us to Dataran Pahlawan's carpark to park our car. Then, we walk on foot to Jonker Walk. There are many historic sites along the way-the stadium where Tunku announce the date of Independence Day, which is now only left a part of it; A'Famosa Wall, Stadhuys and St. Paul Church.

After visiting Jonker Walk, we went back home, and of course we stopped by in Ayer Keroh R&R (northbound) for tea. We, like chariots, racing back home as it is a working day. And usually 5 pm car starting to cramp up the highways. Luckily it is a little jamed.

We reached home at 5.45 p.m.

Feeling jazzy this few days

Don't know why. I just feel nice with jazz music, no matter when dining with someone, or going to bed.

Oops, I just said a jazz song. ("Don't know why-Norah Jones" a great song!)

Everything seems to be feeling good when hearing to jazz.

(No way. I just splurt out two songs in one sentence. "Everything" and "Feeling Good" by Michael Buble. Nice song too.)

Oh, great. Despite these few days of revision, I take some day off to relax with these songs.

I also favour George Gershwin's An American in Paris.

Honestly speaking, I am piling some songs for my trip to Penang in August. Just in case I cannot sleep.

So, some from Michael Buble, some from Norah Jones, Louis Armstrong, Macy Gray and few others...into my spoiled MP4 player.

From Dewan Seri Jugra, Banting, Selangor (21 May 2009), we bring you......

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody

This is a quote by Bill Cosby. I found this line from Aaron's blog.

For over the years, I try to please as many people as I could.

But.......物极必反,器满则倾

I was enlightened by Aaron for this. So, thank you Aaron!

But, I still cannot stop myself from pleasing everybody in this world.

You must be thinking, "What type of jackass are you? Just accept the fact that you cannot please everyone on earth lah!"

I just...just cannot.

I know, that to be a person who is famous, should not be bothered to much about people's mind. Especially a politician, whose occupation is far more difficult to please his/her voters.

So, someone in this world, wake me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
